Recommendations for Managing Complex Behaviors in School Settings

Description

In a school setting there is a team of people working with the student who have different but interrelated roles. This includes, but is not limited to, teachers, paraprofessionals, school social workers, school psychologists, etc., as well as parents/guardians.  The mental health professional must carefully consider what each of these Needs to Know in order to provide interventions and instruction that corresponds to what is written in the IEP. This class explores these unique school-based concepts as the team works together to teach the student coping skills in the least restrictive environment possible.
