Change Management

Description

Successful change within an organization depends on the quality of its leadership; these are the people who can articulate a vision and inspire belief and confidence in it. Since change is a collective effort undertaken by everyone in the company, change leaders find ways to empower mid-level managers to implement it on a tactical level. Much of this discussion of change relates to personnel management, making the case for change to the people of the organization, preparing them for it, and building trust and confidence in the change process. This class outlines a set of strategies and techniques to help leaders shape and direct organizational transformation.

  • Exploring Dr. John Kotter’s eight-step model for successful and sustainable change management
  • Be able to identify errors common to organizational change 
  • Develop a roadmap for organizational change strategy
